    Bad Fit Libero Walking Trainers

Posted by John Woore on 13th Mar 2020

I've decided to post this review as I've had no acknowledgement of an email.
Background: My wife ordered a pair of Hush Puppies size UK8 and they fit me perfectly. I was pleased and so placed an order for Hi-Tec Libero II WP Mens Waterproof Hiking Walking Trainers (Size: UK 8 / EU 42).
I found the Trainers to be an appalling fit with too little room for my toes; the length seems too small somehow.
My invoice says size 8 and the inside-tongue label says UK8 but they are basically too small to wear for any time and I could certainly never walk more than a few hundred yards in them.
[I checked the Hush Puppies label and it too says UK8 and the fit is perfect, so why do they differ so?]
Unfortunately, I persevered for too long with my Trainers, and I have already sent the packaging to Recycling, they do not meet the criteria for Returns.
I did send an email hoping for some comment but no, silence.
So I am stuck with a pair of Trainers only good for a short plod before my toes hurt.
More importantly, I don't feel I can trust the site for Trainers of the correct size.
My advice to buyers is the items are well-made but keep your packaging until you are happy with any item; you cannot trust the quoted 'size'.
